What do you fear?

Thursday, March 6, 2014

Fear, four letter word that can really haunt you.

I fear the wrath of God,
I fear not being able to have a baby of our own and experiencing child birth
I fear that I will get some type of chronic disease that will limit me
I fear of a loved one dying too early
I fear not ever getting to be a mommy

Truly I should fear nothing, I have a God who is in control of my life, who is safe guarding me from any harm. Though the above fears are realistic, I need not worry, for what does worry add to my life, nothing!
Jeremiah 29:11 states "For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you not harm, PLANS to give you a future and hope.

The unknown can be a scary thing but it doesn't have to be or need to be if you have King Jesus as your savior- he will never leave us or forsake us, he is holding our hand beside us and also goes before us in this life each and everyday.

Faithfully
Evolving
Always
Rejoicing in the hope, peace, and love of our Savior Jesus

Lent is here and I have never really responded to Lent, I always thought it was a ritualistic religious action that wasn't oh how do I put this - wasn't what I needed to participate in. Growing in faith and my relationship with King Jesus....I see that it is much more than a ritual and more of a servant worthy deed. I want to serve King Jesus every second of my days here on earth and then forever in eternity, so Lent is now a time of where each of these 40 days leading up to the crucifixion and resurrection (how glorious) is a time where I repent, and truly truly focus on him my King. Giving my whole self to him and seeking out what this looks like.
Yesterday was Ash Wednesday the beginning of the lent season and so I am behind already, but I want to participate faithfully. not as a duty but as a servant of his.

What do you do for the Lent season?

I woke up today and decided to make these muffins that i found on pinterest.
Trying to eat healthier and cleaner this new year. I have not tried them as of yet, but tomorrow morning I will let you know what I think. They looked awesomely delish on my pinterest feed, we shall see how I did tomorrow am.
Also for dinner tonight at my MIL's were going to have her famous scrumptious meatloaf in which she uses yummy whole oats to bind it all together and I am bringing a side of mashed cauliflower- I have been researching recipes all morning and found this Paula Deen recipe- (http://www.pauladeen.com/recipes/recipe_view/mashed_cauliflower/) I am going to swipe the sour cream for greek yogurt to make it a little healthier.
Can't wait to report back and let ya'll know how my recipes turned out, stay tuned tomorrow am!

This is going to be my fittest year yet! my mantra as I feel the burn in my thighs, arms, booty, and back! Oh can't forget the abs. I really want to just be healthy in every area of my life- spiritually, mentally, and physically. Starting every morning with Jesus, soaking up his truths so that they saturate me with his love and mercy all the minutes of my days here on earth. He is the reason I am who I am and I do what I do. Where would we be without him?? I'll tell you where I would be in a pit of despair and self-pity. Miserable! He has me excited about life and what's to come! if you don't know him and have never felt his amazing love pour into you, I'm telling you- YOU NEED TO!

My mornings start with him and from there I feel energized and confident to make good choices, like for instance choosing to eat a healthy breakfast and workout before I do anything else with my day. I am telling you all... I feel good so far 2014 :)

I'm choosing to do a smoothie a day
Lots of good recipes for these on Pinterest. Ahh I love Pinterest!

Workouts so far for the year consist of cross fit and running as always.
My goal is to run a half and possibly
a full by the end of the year! wish me luck 👊💪🙏

I would love to hear about what motivates you to be healthy? What are your plans for staying healthy in 2014?

He goes before me

Friday, January 3, 2014

As I was reading Jesus calling this am, I read how he goes before me and he is also beside me. Comforting to know that before whatever I do he is there as my companion beside me and also before me. I find peace in this, life can be hard and situations can be tough, many times I have felt alone and scared, but as I read this morning I never am alone, he is with me always. Have you ever felt alone and scared walking through life? Starting a new career, school, church... Or just trying something brand new... We need not feel alone instead just rest in the fact that he is with us always, he never leaves us. His promises are true, his love never fails us! amen sisters!

So we are finally in the new house! Hubby surprised me on Christmas eve and got our bed and some things down to the new house so we could stay there that night. The following weekend we loaded up the old house and moved it all down to the new house, luckily just a few houses down :) easiest move yet! Our home is by no means camera ready but I did snap a few pictures this morning to give ya'll a glimpse. I adore it. We thank God for blessing us with it every morning and night. I'm looking forward to decorating it little by little.
